In 2016, MathWorks hosted a space themed Winter Celebration at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston MA. I incorporated space themes including astronauts, the ISS, and recent photos of Pluto. The photo of Pluto is relevant because MathWorks products played a part in the New Horizon's mission to Pluto. The invitation opened into a multi-fold design, where you are first greeted by the inner folds showcasing earth and the outside of the ISS, and you travel further inside the ISS as you open the internal folds of the invite, which reveals the celebration details.
The mom-to-be Kate asked me to create a whimsical, "garden-esque" floral design for her upcoming baby shower. Totoro, from the Studio Ghibli film "My Neighbor Totoro" was also going to be featured, so I incorporated his image with a pink umbrella to bring in more pink hues for her baby girl. Soot sprites are intertwined throughout the invite, registry, book cards, and thank you cards and add a playful touch to the design.
The bride, Vivian, reached out to me to ask for an invitation and additional signage for her upcoming Honduran/Indian fusion wedding. It was important to the couple to have something to represent where both of their families originated, so we came up with the idea to represent that with the national flower of Honduras (Orchid) and India (Lotus).
